Reflection:
This a watercolor painting of a portrait of a woman. This was a little challenging to do cause I think the face had some darker values in the image, so if I could do it over again I would definitely make the values a shade darker. I do like the values I got with the lighter face color though, I think it gives the face more form. I really like how I got the texture of the hair, by using light and dark colors. I used color effectively in this through the hair because I added blue into the hair. In the image it was black, but the highlights had a hint of blue. I really like the contrast between the dark hair and the light face, I think the dark hair really emphasizes the face. Overall, I really like how the painting turned out and it looks pretty close to the picture.
