Reflection:
This is a watercolor painting of the American Gothic House from Iowa. I really like the different values I was able to create with the watercolor. I really like the shadow I got on the roof, I think it helps to create a three- dimensional illusion. I really like how I created the lines on the house. Also, I like how I was able to make the lines on the house and give the house some form. Another thing I really like is the texture of the bushes. Next, I really like the contrast between the house and the other features, I like the dark shadows and light color of the house. Lastly, I like that the house is really emphasized because of this. If I could do this painting over again I would make the shadows a little bit lighter. Overall, I really do like how the painting turned out.
